Second Grade: Quilled Paper Portraits

Quilled Paper Portraits

After drawing a practice portrait, students learned paper quilling with several different

roll and scroll shapes. Students used these skills to create self-portraits and a 3-D frame

with paper.

Spring

Students, parents and Alums Participate in Annual College Night

Senior Morgan Itterly, Kim Itterly and GA Alum Clay Kippen came back to campus to meet with students and parents about career options for young artists and the college application process.  Supported by Karen Mason, Director of College Guidance, students learned about portfolio submissions, the necessity of digital tools, and how summer programming and weekend workshops help to build skills and allow for the understanding of the culture of art in colleges and art schools.
