Leonardo DaVinci, Flying Machines, and the classic Egg Drop Experiment

Students in Ms. Ritz's 2D3D Foundations class have spent the last weeks making DaVinci inspired Flying Machines to carry precious cargo, a raw egg, for it to sail off the roof of the academic courtyard and onto the middle school green. In an interesting twist on the classic egg drop experiment, these students' designed were meant to fly through the air protecting the egg from damage upon impact when hitting the ground.  How did they do?  Most of the little guys survived.
