Senior Honors Students Thrift Shop Field Trip

Senior students in the honors program spent a morning at a local thrift shop looking for found objects and kitsch art for the Honors Collaboration Project on display in January in the Art Center Gallery.  Conflating high and low art along with the opportunity to interact with an already existing art work to make something new and original are the ideas students will struggle with in the coming months.  The fact that they will have increased practice at collaborating in teams and leading through influence, is a critical piece of the project, reinforcing 21st century skills of communication, collaboration, grit and leading through influence.
