English Students Head to the Studio

Michelle Friedman brought her class Graphic Novel students to Dave Love's studio to learn some techniques about the art form and to gain some insight into visual design issues they should consider in developing their own graphic novel. Topics included- how to unify the panels visually through repetition, how materials can compliment the emotional aspects being conveyed and how students with little drawing experience can produce evocative work by combining the rich interplay  of image and word.
