Program Description

The Visual Art Department at Germantown Academy is committed to providing a comprehensive education in the arts within the context of a liberal arts education. Our foundation and advanced curriculum is a well-rounded and versatile approach to the study and application of art. It is designed to provide a creatively stimulating education in an open environment of studio classes. Experimentation and innovation, collaboration and social responsibility are themes built into the curriculum. While these courses extend excellent opportunities for the general study of art and life-long arts advocacy, they are also designed to cultivate serious talents in the visual arts. Many of our students have gone on to prominent careers in commercial, fine, and applied arts.

CRED Philly Call for Submissions


Have you art work and stories featured in CREDPhilly!
Greater Philadelphia Area residents and students ages 25 and under should submit artwork, creative essays, poetry, photography, and other awesome looking and meaningful things to The Portfolio section. There are no restrictions on number of submissions per person.
Submissions will be reviewed in an online youth voting session with all published work chosen by other submitting artists. Selected pieces will receive an honorarium and will be published for 30,000 people to see.

SUBMIT STORIES AND STORY IDEAS
WHO & WHAT
Greater Philadelphia Area residents ages 25 and under should submit stories and story pitches to be included in the STREET CRED section. There are no restrictions on the number of submissions per person. Stories should focus on youth that are living, studying or working in the Philadelphia Area and have interesting and unique traits, jobs or talents.
